đź›’ How to Buy NFTs on the Polygon network

 

  1. Prepare your wallet – Make sure you have MetaMask connected to OpenSea and set to the Polygon network.

  2. Have enough POL – You need enough POL in your wallet to pay for the NFT + gas fees (transaction costs) on Polygon. (The gas fee itself is very small, usually like 0.1$).

  3. The NFT price is shown in WETH.
    What is WETH? – WETH (Wrapped Ethereum) is basically ETH that has been converted to work on the Polygon network. WETH is a token that represents ETH 1:1 but lives on Polygon, so it can be used for buying and selling NFTs on that chain.

  4. Don’t have WETH? – No problem! OpenSea can auto-convert your POL into WETH during checkout. If the automatic conversion isn’t available or doesn’t work, use MetaMask’s built-in Swap feature to swap your POL for WETH (Polygon).

  5. Click “Buy Now” – Review the total cost, confirm the transaction in your MetaMask wallet, pay the small fee in POL and you’re done! The NFT will appear in your “Collected” tab.
